My career began as a fee earner after finishing my law degree, but I quickly became enthusiastic about case management/software delivery and the efficiencies it could drive.  After transferring into a full-time developer role, I got to work on legal IT projects such as early MOJ portal and land registry integrations, followed by IT projects at a global machinery hire company, which led to me becoming development manager before landing a role as Head IT at Stephenson's Solicitors.

Whilst as Stephenson's I became passionate about cloud technology and became certified to “Expert” level in Architecture and DevOps Engineering.  I was then given the opportunity to join Microsoft as a Cloud Solution architect advising the company's largest customers across retail, media and professional services on strategic cloud programmes as a lead technical architect, taking C-Level strategy and turning that into workable technical products.  I continued in a similar role at Capgemini where I was the Technical Design Authority for Azure in the Cloud Centre of Excellence, whilst also managing a team of senior architects and maintaining my own project workload.  My projects included large integrations in the hospitality sector, migration projects in the retail sector and secure software delivery in the defence sector.

I am passionate about software delivery and driving innovation via new technology or modernising existing technology.  I enjoy the challenge of working both with C-Level to develop an IT strategy and IT teams to understand the technical detail involved in delivering successful business outcomes.
