My career in legal IT began way back in 1982, starting as a programmer and moving on to systems analyst, project manager and support manager for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). In 1995 I took part in a management buy-out from DEC that created Axxia Systems Limited, a business that was for several years, the UK’s largest practice management and case management supplier. Within Axxia I held positions as director of both support and development.

When Axxia was acquired by LexisNexis in 2008 I continued with LN as Product Director until 2012, with responsibility for a number of new Microsoft based products including workflow/process management and Dynamics ERP. I have extensive experience of large scale product development projects in areas including accounting, billing, time recording, business intelligence, case management, DMS and CRM, supported by a deep understanding of business requirements throughout the legal sector.

I am a technologist who has been at the sharp end of running a business and understand the importance of applying a practical approach to developing strategy and problem solving that ensures pragmatic and deliverable solutions.
